Thanks to the generosity of our Walkerville families and school boosters our total sales at this year’s book fair was more than $2,700.
Because of this, our tireless library leader (1/2 time librarian & ½ time parapro) Nicole Hintz received $750 in funding for new library books.
Additionally, Nicole has secured $2k in grant money provided by the Oceana Community Foundation and their generous supporters to create a new section in the library dedicated to middle and high schoolers.
Prior to Nicole’s efforts, the library consisted of sections just for young children, young readers, and adult.
Our teens are now able to enjoy a wide variety of book selections along with some fun new furniture. Thanks to all for making this a reality for our Walkerville community!
