Juana Rivera – Migrant Services

Mrs. Rivera has worked for Walkerville School for four years.

She has a heart for the farm life.

“In fact,” she said. “If I wasn’t in education, I’d most likely be busy harvest fruit.”

Considering that her favorite book as a kid was “Green Eggs and Ham” by Dr. Suess, you’d think Mrs. Rivera would lean toward raising chickens or pigs, but “I like fruit farming,” she said.

Mrs. Rivera like the close-knit, friendly ways in our community.

“Our families and students are positive and smile, are willing to learn, and look for ways to be helpful,” she said.

Mrs. Rivera enjoys making seasonal crafts with her children and grandchildren.

So given how she appreciates people – both at home and at school – you won’t be shocked to see her two favorite songs, “I’ll Be There for You” by Bon Jovi and “Faithfully” by Journey.
