Jackie Wolgamott, 7th Grade Teacher

Having been a teacher’s aide in the preschool class when she was in high school, Jackie Wolgamott fell in love with being in an elementary classroom and knew teaching was what she wanted to do.  She grew up in Walkerville and graduated as a Wildcat.  This is Jackie’s second year with the district teaching 7th and 8th grade. She will always remember how welcomed she felt by the students and staff when she arrived at Walkerville – she knew immediately that she was going to love teaching here!  Being able to connect and getting to know every student is important to her, and she appreciates the fact that being in a smaller district and having smaller class sizes, allows those connections to happen easily.  Her favorite parts of teaching are the daily adventures and challenges that keep her on her toes, “I never have the same day twice!”  She enjoys the humor of her students and her days are filled with lots of laughter.  When you walk down the hall you’ll have to check out what’s she’s wearing; Jackie sews most of her own clothing!
