Kay Vronko – Reading and Math

From the moment she stepped foot into her kindergarten classroom as a child, Kay Vronko knew she was destined to be a teacher! She loves being able to help her students gain confidence in their abilities. She also enjoys sharing good books with her students and being able to laugh together at the funny parts. She teaches reading and math and this is her fifth year with Walkerville Public Schools.  As the Title 1 teacher she works with different grade levels and teachers.  In addition to teaching Reading and Math, Kay has worked with the Migrant Program which has led to many memorable moments and some awesome adventures.  Her best memories are of making apple pies and slime at family events, leading field trips to John Ball Zoo, Fifth Third Ballpark – home of the Whitecaps, and her favorite – Mac Woods Dune Ride.  When she is not teaching she enjoys spending time with her family – she has three sons and two daughter-in-laws (with another soon to be daughter-in-law) and seven grandchildren.  She loves going to the beach and riding her bicycle.  She also enjoys knitting and crocheting.  Kay is a very talented seamstress. You might be surprised to know the she sewed her own wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses.
