Having always appreciated a small school setting, Pam Mitteer has called Walkerville Public Schools home for the past 20 years. What she likes most about teaching 4th grade is the independence and maturity that starts developing in students at this age. Students are old enough to work independently, yet are still looking for a close relationship with their teacher. Wanting to help others learn, Pam knew from an early age that she wanted to become an educator. She graduated from Shelby High School then went on to Hope College in Holland, Michigan to continue her education. If Pam had to change professions right now, she would probably pursue something in the arts as she enjoys many artistic activities including crocheting, scrapbooking, drawing and photography.
